Madeline & Jose | A Puerto Rico Wedding

Still not over this one. Puerto Rico brought it. Due to the historical snow fall in New Orleans scheduled for later in the week, we decided it was best if we landed in San Juan a few days early. Turned out to be the right call, New Orleans was shut down for days…and I would get a few more days in 80 degree sunshine, poor me. I would be lying if I said I wasn’t a little jealous of seeing New Orleans in 12 inches of snow, but I digress.
This is my second time being around the McGee clan, and what a delightful family they are. Man, do they know how to have a good time. I just love them. And Jose, what a guy! I instantly fell in love with his island charm and genuine generosity. They all made me feel like family, not just the hired help, and if you have a chance to get shown Puerto Rico by a local, take it. We even had a homecooked meal at his grandmother’s house. That’s the kind of stuff money can’t buy.
The week went by too fast and I already can’t wait to be reunited with this krewe. But until then, enjoy a little preview of an epic party in Puerto Rico.
